Max S. Walterman

Max S. Walterman, 63, Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at his residence. Born, September 13, 1947 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Lowell E. and Betty L. (Vanderbur) Walterman. He graduated in 1966 from Greensburg High School. He was retired from the Allison Turbine Co. in Indianapolis. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg and the Eagles Lodge. He was married to Irene Cross on January 15, 1983 and she survives. He is also survived by his father, Lowell; one son, Doug (Rose) Bowen, Greensburg; three daughters, Dawn (Kyle) Readnour, Greensburg, Tina (Rocky) Williams, Tennessee, Marilyn (Pete) Campos, Greensburg; one sister, Kathy Melcher, Greensburg; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; one son, Bobby Bowen; two daughters, Pamela Walterman, Karen Bowen; one brother, Clarence Keith Walterman. Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
