Betty L. Yorn, 79, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born, December 17, 1931 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Floyd E. and Ruth Marie (Shafer) Hersley. Betty was married to Louis F. Yorn, Sr. on March 1, 1974, and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2005. Betty worked as a waitress and cook for most of her life. She worked at the Silver Diner, Keillor's Restaurant, Trackside Cafe, and the Coffee Cup all in Greensburg. Betty also worked as a Certified Nurses Aid (CNA) for the Odd Fellows Nursing Home in Greensburg. Betty was a member of the Bethel Apostolic Church in Greensburg. She is survived by a husband by previous marriage; Richard T. (Eleanor) Filler, Sr., Las Vegas, Nevada, 7 sons; John (Joyce) Whiteman, Westport, Brian (Tracy) Filler, Shelbyville, Tim (Brandi) Filler, Shelbyville, Rick Filler, Kentucky, Butch (Marty) Yorn, Greensburg, Bill Yorn, Greensburg, Jimmy (Gay) Yorn, Greensburg, 3 daughters; Wanda (Michael) Ruble, Greensburg, Beverly A. Stout, Greensburg, Shirley Yorn, Greensburg, daughter-in-law; Edith (and the late Johnny) Yorn, Greensburg, 3 brothers; Larry (Florence) Hersley, Greensburg, David (Denise) Hersley, Greensburg, Richard Hersley, Greensburg, 2 sisters; Jo Ann Hornaday, Rushville, Diane Hankins, Greensburg, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, son; Johnny Yorn, brother; John Harlan Hersley, and sisters; Joyce Clark, and Edith Loche. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Bethel Apostolic Church, 628 W. Hendricks St., Greensburg, In. Visitation will also be held from 10-11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Bethel Apostolic Church with Funeral Services following at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Glenn Seaman officiating. Interment will be held in the Sandcreek Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
