Kathryn R. Firsich

Kathryn R. Firsich, 90, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. Born, February 27, 1920 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Fred James and Florine (Wendling) Kuntz. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg. She was married to Donald W. Firsich on September 18, 1940 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2002. She is survived by four daughters, Rosie (Phillip) Daeger, North Vernon, Janet (James) Wilmer, Greensburg, Sharon (Jan) Osburn, Fishers, Darlene (Robert) Riedeman, Greensburg; four brothers, Charles Kuntz, Shelbyville, Stanley Kuntz, Shelbyville, Paul Kuntz, Greensburg, Garnet Kuntz, Westport; one sister, Ruth Denson, Temecula, CA; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; five brothers, Fred Kuntz, Jr., Melvin Kuntz, , Shirley Kuntz, Maurice Kuntz and John Kuntz. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Decatur County, the St. Mary's School in Greensburg or the St. Mary's School in North Vernon.
