Reighnettia "Nettie" Jackson, 81, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born, September 23, 1929 in Adair County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Pierce and Millie Ann (Goodin) Bryant. Nettie was born and raised in Kentucky as a Southern Baptist. She worked for Delta Faucet for 20+ years, she worked for French Bauer as an egg sorter, she worked for Vines Poultry in the old CJ Loyd building, and she worked for Seitz's Restaurant. Nettie was married to Hal T. Jackson on September 9, 1946 in Greensburg, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1991. Nettie is survived by 2 daughters; Terry L. Boyce, Greensburg, Marilyn A. (Sam) Chauncy, Greensburg, 2 sons; Daryl W. Jackson, Greensburg, Wesley E. Jackson, Greensburg, 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons; Gary R. "Bubba" Jackson and Marion P. "Shorty" Jackson, 3 grandsons; Greg Cooper, Jeffrey Michael Jackson, and Travis Wayne Jackson, 2 brothers; Benny "Buster" Bryant and her twin, Loyd Bryant, 5 half-sisters, 2 half-brothers, and 2 step-brothers. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Interment will be held following the funeral at Burks Chapel Cemetery in Decatur County. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana (http://www.hospiceofsouthcentralindiana.org).
