Loreda Knight

Loreda Knight, 87 of Greensburg, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born, September 30, 1923 in Illinois, she was the daughter of Cecil and Laura (Gray) Cory. Loreda was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. She was married to Peter Knight in January of 1943, and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1987. Loreda is survived by 1 son; Rev. George W. (Shirley) Knight, Alta Vista, VA, 4 daughters; Mary Irene (John) Ewing, Greensburg, Barbara Venable, Greensburg, Dottie (Dean) Miller, North Vernon, Elaine Knight, Greensburg, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 brother; Gene Cory, and a great granddaughter; Sara Jane Venable. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. George Knight officiating. Interment will be held following the funeral at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
