Alma M. Menkhaus, 97, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born, September 5, 1913 in St. Maurice, she was the daughter of Bernard and Mary (Berkemeier) Oesterling.
She was a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church, the "Red Hat" Ladies and the PCCW at St. Maurice Church.
She was married to Ralph H. Menkhaus on October 2, 1943 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 1994.
She is survived by two sons, Dale Menkhaus, Laramie, Wyoming, Daniel Menkhaus, Idaho Falls, Idaho; one daughter, Mary Ann Fry, Greensburg; one brother, Anthony Oesterling, Napoleon; one sister, Thelma Bedel, Greensburg; six grandchildren, Daryl (Sarah) Fry, Darin Fry, Jenny (Derek) Ruble, Brian Menkhaus, Todd (Erin) Menkhaus, Kathleen (Nicholas) Cole; 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Albert, Maurice, Alois Oesterling; one sister, Alvina Moorman.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011 at the St. Maurice Catholic Church in St. Maurice with Rev. George Joseph Nangachiveettil officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in St. Maurice, Indiana.
