Geraldine N. Mirick

Geraldine N. Mirick, 89, Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born, August 22, 1921 in Rising Sun, she was the daughter of James and Flossie (Moore) Gregory. She was retired from the Union Furniture Co. in Batesville. She was married to Jesse Lee Mirick on July 31, 1937 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 1991. She is survived by one son, Donald (Deanna) Mirick, Greensburg; three daughters, Carolyn (Jack) Powers, Greensburg, Sharon (Larry) Miller, Greensburg, Betty Roszelle, Greensburg; three sisters, Etheline Maddux, Shirley Rayles, Darlene Gregory; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Herschel Gregory, Wendell Gregory, James Gregory; one sister, Kathryn Greiwe; two grandchildren, Annette Marie Mirick, Donna Sue Miller. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. John Mattern officiating. Interment will be held in the Rossburg Cemetery in New Point, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Hospice of South Central Indiana.
