Fannie Mearl Whitaker

Fannie Mearl Whitaker, 76, of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at her residence. Fannie was born on August 15, 1934 to W. Henry and Bertha Mae (Adams) Whitaker in Squib, Kentucky. Fannie worked at Garrett Garment Company and Valeo in Greensburg, and International Furniture in Rushville. She is survived by one brother; Connie Whitaker, Cincinnati, OH, one sister; Helen Whitaker, Greensburg, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Lonnie E, Roy, and Coy Whitaker, two sisters; Olive Fonnie Whitaker, and Tevis Marie Whitaker. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will be held following visitation at 12 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Brother Perry Fouts officiating. Interment will be held in South Park Cemetery.
