David E. Shafer

David E. Shafer, 52, passed away Friday in the Hospice of South Central Indiana, Columbus, In.. Born, May 15, 1959 in Greensburg, he was the son of Wallace "Buck" Shafer and Betty (Dugle) Shafer. He had worked for 32 years as a welder for Indiana Wire of Greensburg. He was married to Judy Hollin on February 18, 1978 and she died January 22, 2009. He is survived by a daughter Christy (John) Hollin Hannum and two sisters, Pam (Jerry) Keller and Penny (Henry) Clift Greensburg; three grandchildren, Stephan Tylar Hannum, Keisha Nicole Hannum, A'Jay Michael Hannum. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Shafer, sister, Debbie Young. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 a.m. Tuesday August 30, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Keith Dover officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
