Darlene Sue Riley, 63, beloved wife, mom, daughter, sister and grandma was called home to join her Heavenly Father on Monday, September 12, 2011 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
An avid lover of the Lord, life, family and friends, Darlene sought to touch and impact the lives of others by giving all of herself to make their lives richer and happier.
Born February 1, 1948, she was the firstborn daughter of Melvin and Rosalie (Hamer) Robbins, who reside in Greensburg.
On December 28, 1969 she married the love of her life and best friend, Michael T. Riley, who also resides in Greensburg.
She is also survived by her daughter, Mrs. Benjamin (Shelley) Post of Cincinnati, OH; her sister, Mrs. Ronald (Joretta) Headlee of Indianapolis; four wonderful grandchildren; Teryn, Aidan, Sheridan and Ronan Post of Cincinnati; three nephews and one niece.
Throughout her lifetime, Darlene was an active member of the First Baptist Church, where she was also employed for the past ten years until her illness. She was also a dedicated employee of the Decatur County Board of Health and the GECOM Corp. as well as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Visitation services to honor and celebrate her life will be held from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg and on Saturday from 9 - 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. David Thompson officiating.
Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the Robbins Memorial Fund at the First Baptist Church.
