Martha Jean Huser, 92, of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at her residence.
Martha was born on July 12, 1919 to Fred and Grace (Lofton) Seitz in Greensburg.
She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1937.
Martha was married to Lawrence H. Huser on June 28, 1947 and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1984.
She worked as a nurses aid for many years at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in the nursery, and she also worked at the wire factory during WWII.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg.
Martha had a great love for animals and people.
She is survived by one son; L. Fred (Patti) Huser, Greensburg, one daughter; Grace Huser, Greensburg, two granddaughters; Christine (Matt) Hygema, Broad Ripple, Elizabeth (Kelby) Owens, Indianapolis, and one great grandson; Grant Hygema.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one grandson; Christopher Huser.
Family and friends may call from 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday prior to visitation.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be held in South Park Cemetery.
