Gladys M. Altman, 94, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg.
Born, September 25, 1917 in Dearborn County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Forest C. and Lula B. (Hutchinson) Mangold.
She was a 1936 graduate of Moores Hill High School. She worked several years as a clerk at Minear's Department Store in Greensburg and she also had worked for several years as a clerk for the Greensburg Water Co. She enjoyed sewing and needle work.
She was married to Clyde Altman on January 8, 1941 in Shelbyville and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1991.
She is survived by four cousins, Maxine Lehman, Dr. Barb (Steve) Taylor, Bonnie Arnold, and Glenda (Tom) Porter all of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Clifford and John W. Mangold.
Visitation will be from 10-12:00 p.m. Saturday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Dover officiating.
Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
