Donald R. Sallee

Donald R. Sallee, 59, Westport, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2009 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born December 23, 1951 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Donald and Vivian (Swango) Sallee. Donald had worked for several years in metal stamping at GECOM. He loved riding his Harley and often rode in charity rides with ABATE. He was married to Rita J. Powers on June 5, 1999 and she preceded him in death on April 27, 2009. Donald is survived by his companion, Debbie L. Moore, Westport; two sons, David Powers, Scipio, Harold A. Powers, Greensburg; three daughters, Kathi Jo Olmstead, Seymour, Katrina D. Powers, North Vernon, Pamela Taylor, Milford; one brother, John Sallee, Columbus; two sisters, Paula Moor, Rushville, Carol Ann Sanchez, Seymour; nine grandchildren, Tyler Fields, Nick Olmstead, Julliana Burton, Jazmine Powers, Kali Thompson, Blake Thompson, Gregory Taylor, Jr., Dawson Powers and Natasha Powers. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Dover officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana. Memorials may be made to ABATE.
