Jane Arlene Carmony, 79, Greensburg, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011 at her residence in Greensburg.
Born, February 17, 1932 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Earl and Grace (Stainbrook) Hawkins.
She graduated from Burney High School. She had worked at the Union Bank and Trust in Greensburg and then retired after working for Edward Jones Investments in Shelbyville. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Greensburg and a former member of the Shelbyville Business and Professional Women's Association.
She was married to William Dale Carmony on December 19, 1953 and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2003.
She is survived by one daughter; Vicki (Chuck) Holtkamp, Greensburg, one son; Scott (Laura) Carmony, Shelbyville, one sister; JoAnn Davis, Greensburg, 4 grandchildren; Ryan (Beth) Holtkamp, Lindsey (Patrick) Holtkamp-Koors, Megan Carmony, Andrew "Drew" Carmony, and two great-grandchildren; Ethan Carmony, and Maycee Holtkamp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother; Richard Hawkins.
Visitation will be from 1 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Wolford officiating.
Interment will be held in the Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or Decatur County Hospice.
