Alphons J. Hodapp, 88, Greensburg, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born, March 12, 1923 in Ripley Co., Indiana he was the son of Barney and Mollie (Stuehrenberg) Hodapp.
Alphons was a blacksmith and a farmer. He was a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon.
He was married to Alvina C. Wilmer on April 7, 1948 and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2009.
He is survived by one son, Arthur (Vicky) Hodapp, Greensburg; two daughters, Ruth (Lynn) Herbert, Greensburg, Betty (Bob) Fisse, Greensburg; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Patricia Hodapp; one brother, Leo Hodapp; one sister, Leona Hodapp.
Visitation will be from 2-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon.
Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Millhousen, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of South Central Indiana.
