Raymond F. Middendorf, 93, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born, October 15, 1918 in Horace, Indiana, he was the son of Henry J. and Rose Catherine (Peters) Middendorf.
He was a retired farmer and also had worked on small engine repairs.
He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and was an avid fisherman.
He was married to Agnes L. Krieger on November 15, 1947 and she preceded him in death on December 18, 2007.
He is survived by two son, Jerry Middendorf, Westport, James Middendorf, Greensburg; one brother, Robert Middendorf, Greensburg; two grandchildren, Michael Middendorf, Adam Middendorf; three great grandchildren, McKenzie Kovacich, Jonathon Middendorf, Brinley Middendorf; his caregiver, Mary Crawley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; one brother, Albert Middendorf.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Greensburg. A public rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana with a full military graveside rite.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of South Central Indiana.
