Clara Schoettmer

Clara Schoettmer, 96, Millhousen, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at her residence. Born August 14, 1915 in St. Maurice, Indiana, she was the daughter of Frank and Veronica (Kappes) Berkemeier. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the St. Ann's Society. She was married to Walter Schoettmer on April 14, 1937 and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1981. She is survived by two sons, William (Jean ) Schoettmer, Greensburg, Norbert (Mary Ann) Schoettmer, Greensburg; five daughters, Carolyn Schoettmer, Greensburg, Mary Jane (Kenneth) Roberts, Greensburg, Helen Wagener, Greensburg, Dorothy Snyder, Connersville, Sue (James) Buening, Cicero; two sisters, Frieda Muckerheide, Greensburg, Rosemary Berkemeier, Greensburg; 19 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; six Brothers, Raymond, Joseph, Edward, Maurice, Rev. Charles and Herman Berkemeier; one great grandchild, Caleb Nobbe. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funerals and Cremations in Greensburg. A public rosary service will be held on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
