Mary Ann Wenning

Mary Ann Wenning 90, of Millhousen, peacefully passed away August 16, 2012 at home. She was born December 29, 1921 in Duncombe, Iowa, to Henry J. and Mary A. (Naderman) Stuhrenberg. She married Everett J. Wenning on May 11, 1955, and they were happily married for 54 years until his death on June 10, 2009. She was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen, Indiana. She was spirited and willful person who was known for her keen memory and gardening. Mary Ann is survived by her four children: Mary Jo Wenning of Millhousen; John H. (Diane) Wenning of Greensburg; Martha (Rex) Johnson and Andrew (Raquel) Wenning both of Columbus. She is also survived by her three sisters: Rosemary (Gilbert) Maschino of North Vernon; Sister Bernetta (Clarie) Stuhrenberg O.S.F. of Oldenburg; and Barbara (Kenneth) Sandhage of Westport. Additionally she is survived by her grandchildren: Kenneth Wenning of West Palm Beach, Florida; Amber (Brandon) Tucker of Indianapolis; Derek Johnson of Lafayette; Daren Johnson of Chicago, Illinois; Jennifer Wenning and Kathryn Wenning both of Bloomington; Michael Wenning, of Columbus; and step grandchildren: Tia Hooker, and Rocky Hooker both of Columbus. In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her parents; one brother, Albert Stuhrenberg; two sisters: Sr. Margaret Mary Stuhrenberg O.S.F. and Sr. M. Henriette Stuhrenberg O.C.S.O. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, August 19th at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. A rosary service for family and friends will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Millhousen, Indiana. Interment will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
