Carolyn J. Hufferd

Carolyn J. Hufferd, 67, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born February 15, 1945 in Nyack, New York, she was the daughter of George "Roy" and Margaret (Thorp) Huff. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1963. She had worked at Farmer's Mutual Insurance, The Greensburg Daily News, Semon-Hollowell Accounting and then at WTRE. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabelle and the Greensburg Hospital Auxiliary. She was married to Max Hufferd on May 1, 1965 and he survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Ginny (Darin) Marhanka, Pickens, SC, Becky (Chris) Hamilton, Greensburg; four grandchildren, Jordan Marhanka, Jessica Marhanka, Erin Hamilton, Allison Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bob Huff. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary service for family and friends will be held on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Meals on Wheels in Greensburg.
