Donald L. Foster, Sr.

Donald L. Foster, Sr., 79, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at his residence in Greensburg. Born, December 11, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son Donald L. and Lucy L. (Kirk) Foster. Donald married Patricia Ann Wright on August 28, 1950, and she survives. He was a member of the National Guard. He was also a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Greensburg and he served as a Decon at the church. Donald worked for Allison Corporation in Indianapolis for 32 years. He is survived by his wife, one son; Donald L. (Lorene Ann) Foster, Jr., Greensburg, three daughters; Georgia (Harry) Wright, Greensburg, Barbara (Jim) Smith, Lexington, IN, Sherry (Chris) Hersley, Greensburg, one brother; George L. (Rita) Foster, Greensburg, two sisters; Betty Harrison, Westport, Dorothy (Larry) Ray, Indianapolis, 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Richard L. Foster, and grandson; Lonny Moore. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Faith Baptist Church, 2002 Moscow Rd., Greensburg, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Faith Baptist Church in Greensburg with Rev. Dan Selby officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Decatur Coutny Humane Society.
