Virgil G. Huff, 83, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg.
Born, June 27, 1929 in Ripley County, he was the son of Henry and Catherine (Pollwine) Huff.
He had worked at Hill Rom in Batesville until his retirement in 1992.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
Virgil was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Napoleon VFW.
He was married to Genevieve M. "Jenny" Fry on November 3, 1962 and she preceded him in death on June 21, 1988.
He is survived by three brothers, Harold (Susie) Huff, Osgood, Andrew Huff, Osgood, Bernard (Darlene) Huff, Westport; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; several great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister-in-law, Ginny Huff.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary for family and friends will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana. The Napoleon VFW will conduct military graveside services.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
