Paul David Banks, 64, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility in Columbus. He was born in Indianapolis In on December 27, 1947, the son of Betty Irene Banks. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and he graduated from St. Paul High School in 1967. He had been employed at NTN-BCA in Greensburg for 37 years. He then worked at Brinks Security in Indianapolis for 5 years and retired on July 8, 2010. He was married to Darlene Remmler on September 12, 1970 at the Star Baptist Church in Greensburg and she survives. David was a kind, gracious and loving individual, with a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also was a devoted Notre Dame fan and the most fun times of his life was attending the games and visiting the campus. He loved music and collecting old records. He loved to golf with friends and he also enjoyed fishing with his son-in-law, Josh Nickell. Other survivors include two daughters, Leah (Kevin) Fields, Greensburg, Ashley (Josh) Nickell, Greensburg; two grandchildren, Matthew and Madison Fields; one sister, Shirley Jean Werner, Batesville; one aunt, Rita Simmonds, Greensburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and one uncle, Robert Simmonds. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012 and from 10:30 to 11:30 Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Mark Vice officiating. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of South Central Indiana.
