Donald L. Hart of Greensburg, IN passed away at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis on Monday evening, December 10, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Elaine (Roseberry) Hart; sister Verna Sue Boyce, Greensburg and five children: Kendall (Mary Ann) Hart of New Point, IN; Phillip (Amy) Hart of Greensburg, IN; Melanie (Donald) Mobley of Batesville, IN; Brett (Lee Lattis) of Vevay, IN and Erin (Kenny) Morrow of Osgood, IN. He also leaves 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer (Douglas) Burns of Columbus, OH; son, Stewart N. Hart and his parents Norman and Devota (Vanderbur)Hart of Greensburg, IN.
He was born on August 21, 1932 in New Pennington, IN and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army for four years, including a tour of duty in the Korean War. He proudly drove for Hill-Rom in Batesville, IN for 41 years, retiring in 1996.
He was baptized in the New Pennington Christian Church and attended and graciously served the lord and his community through the First Christian Church in Greensburg, IN.
Everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life Service which will be held at the First Christian Church in Greensburg, IN on Friday, December 14th. An open visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a brief funeral service, officiated by Rev. Danny Wolford. A private family burial will follow.
