Douglas L. Bowman

Douglas L. Bowman, 61, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Richmond, Kentucky on July 10, 1951, the son of Zach R. and Jessie Marie (Moyers) Bowman. He graduated from North Decatur High School and then attended the Southeastern Career Center in Versailles for two year. He was a mechanic at the former D&R Machine Shop and he also farmed and was a truck driver. He was a member of the Clarksburg Christian Church. He loved antique tractors and was an avid trap shooter. He was married to Rose Ann Lecher on August 18, 1978 and she survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Tara Bowman, Greensburg and one brother, Edward B. (Alicia) Bowman. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Jerran Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
