Hugh Clark Coy

Hugh Clark Coy, 87, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was born on May 10, 1925 in Greensburg, the son of Leonard E. and Gertrude (Clark) Coy. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1943. He then served in the Army in WW II. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Adams and was a former volunteer fireman. He was married to Mary K. Holder on August 21, 1949 and she preceded him in death on February 27, 2008. He is survived by one daughter, Linda (Paul) Hardebeck with grandchildren, Laura and Brian (Samantha), all of Batesville; two sons, Jim (Jeanie) Coy with grandchildren, Paige and Abby, all of Greensburg, Brian (Debbie) Coy with grandchildren, Brennan and Brayden, all of Greensburg; one sister, Martha Jean Cartier, Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister, Letha Lorine DeLay. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Dover officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Building Fund.
