Laura M. Allen

Laura M. Allen, 37, passed away on February 16, 2013 in Greensburg. She was born in Greensburg on April 15, 1975 to Wade, Sr. and Kathleen (Powers) Farr. Laura had worked for many years at Wendy’s in Greensburg. She was recently hired full time as an Environmental Services Assistant at Aspen Place Nursing Home in Greensburg. Laura was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. She was married to Rodney R. Allen on March 25, 1995 and he survives. Other survivors include Laura’s parents, Wade, Sr. and Kathleen Farr, Greensburg, one son; Damon Michael Allen, Greensburg, one daughter, Paige Marie Allen, Greensburg, 3 brothers, Jay Farr, Greensburg, Wade (Karin) Farr II, Greensburg, Richie (Bobbie) Farr, Greensburg, one sister-in-law, Kim (Jason) Willey, Greensburg, 5 nieces and nephews, Rose and Brandon Farr, Greensburg, Brooklynn, Johnathan, and Samantha Willey, Greensburg, her grandmother, Alma Powers, Greensburg and 9 aunts and 3 uncles. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews from out of town. She was preceded in death by her grandfather; Richard Powers, and her father-in-law; Ray Allen. Visitation will be held at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 4-8:00 p.m. with a rosary service starting at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. John Meyer officiating Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials can be made to the family.
