William S. Faris

William S. Faris, 73, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. William was born on March 1, 1939 in Graymont, Illinois to Elmer Jacob and Dorothy Helen (Uebel) Faris. William was a farmer and worked as a truck driver for GMI Trucking in Greensburg. He was married to Pauline Romans on December 30, 1957 and she survives. Other survivors include five sons; Tony Faris, Greensburg, Carl (Jody) Faris, Greensburg, Billy (Valerie) Faris, Connersville, Paul Faris, Greensburg, Jim (Julie) Faris, Greensburg, three daughters; Sue (Don) Dover, Hickory, NC, Angie (Gary) Edwards, North Vernon, Misty (Tony) Wylie, Vale, NC, two brothers; Charles (Ruby) Faris, Hanover, IN, Jerry Faris, Hanover, IN, one sister; Carol Wettistein, Porter, IN, 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Kathy Grimes, and sister; Marge Oliver. Visitation will be held at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 12-4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Jack Oliver officiating Burial will follow in the Mt. Aerie Cemetery in Letts. Memorials can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or to IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.
