Mary E. Benefiel

Mary E. Benefiel, 84, Greensburg, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  Mary was born in Greensburg on December 1, 1929 to Raymond and Frances (Herbert) White. Mary was a member of the Sand Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from James River after working there for 34 years.  Mary was married to Russell Benefiel on July 31, 1946 and he survives.  Mary is survived by her husband, 3 sons; Robert F. Benefiel, Billy J. Benefiel, Gregory A. Benefiel, all of Greensburg, 2 daugters; Patti Nugent, Barbara Benefiel, both of Greensburg, 2 sisters; Deloris Hicks, San Antonio, TX, Carol Fry, Bloomington, IN, 15 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Walter White, and daughter; Suzie Cripe.  Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 am until the time of services.  Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
