Martha L. Jones

Martha Lucille Miller Jones (Marciel), 82, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Morning Breeze in Greensburg. Born April 4, 1932 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Leo Louis and Ruth Mae (Manning) Miller. Martha worked for the Carol Cook Dress Factory, Garrett Dress factory, G.C. Murphy Co. in Greensburg and Brentwood School in Plainfield, Indiana. She was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (LCMS) and sang in the choir. She was married to Clarence Edward Jones on October 18, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2001. She is survived by children, Pamela (David) Van Bruaene, Beverly (Stan) Cummings, Kelly (Jim) Fullen, Lori (Jason) Knight; brothers, Leo Louis (Helen) Miller, Larry (Betty) Miller; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Ralph Whiteford; husband; son, Danny Edward Jones; brother, Charles (Katherine) Miller; sisters, Sarah (Clifton) Smith, Elizabeth (Ernie) Land, Dorothy (Orland) Hatfield. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the funeral home with Margaret Lowe officiating. Interment will be held in the Milford Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cheer Fund.
