Wayne P. Mathis

Wayne P. Mathis, 45, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born, September 26, 1969 in Batesville, Indiana, he was the son of Donald H. Mathis and Norma (Murphy) Mathis. Wayne loved to fish, watch old movies, listen to rock and roll music and he enjoyed joking with others. He worked at the Waffle House in Greensburg. He is survived by his father, Donald (Caddie) Mathis, North Vernon; mother, Norma Mathis, Greensburg; three brothers, Ron Mathis, Columbus, Don Mathis, Columbus, Wade Mathis, Greensburg; two sisters, Carrie Sawyer, Dillsboro, Yolanda Heavern, Seymour; three step siblings, Robin Sizemore, Todd Reynolds, and Beth Clark; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Thomas Mathis; one sister, Kelly Ann Mathis. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Perry Cook officiating. Memorials may be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
