Wayne "Don" Maple, Sr., 84, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born, March 7, 1930 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Jessie Earl and Lenna M. (Bruner) Maple.
Don was a Veteran serving in the Army.
He was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
He was married to Pauline Johnson on September 20, 1969 and she preceded him in death on May 14, 2004.
He is survived by one son, Wayne D. (Summer) Maple, Jr.; three daughters, Jenny Schott, Greensburg, Donna (Brandon) Wilson, Greensburg, Kathy (Bill) Cleland, Greensburg; three brothers, Floyd (Sue) Maple, Seattle, WA., James (Janet) Maple, Greensburg, Jack (Mary) Maple, Batesville; three sisters, Shirley Voegele, Greensburg, Janet (Frank) Schreiner, Greensburg, Wilma Jean Chandler, Milroy; 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; one brother, Charles Maple; five sisters, Charlotte Thompson, Barbara Maple, Rita Carr, Faye Bohman, Dorothy Strawn.
Visitation will be from 11-1:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
Interment with full military services will be held in the Rossburg Cemetery in New Point, Indiana.
