Mary A. Carlin

Mary A. Carlin, 89, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Born January 21, 1926 in Platte City, Missouri, she was the daughter of Otto Ernstes and Ethel May (Head) Bell. Mary worked for 26 years at the Castle Wood Country Club in Pleasanton, California. She started as a waitress and worked her way up to manager. She was a member of the Clarksburg Christian Church. She was married to Paul Francis Carlin, Jr. and he preceded her in death in 1982. She is survived by one son, William Bert Carlin, California; one daughter, Bonnie Alice LaFrance, Greensburg; one brother, Glen Ernest Bell, Ft. Meyers, Fl.; 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one brother, Archie "Buddy" Bell; one sister, Myrtle Shaffer, whom died on February 9, 2015. Visitation will be from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Jerran Jackson officiating. Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
