Greg L. Siefert

Greg L. Siefert, 52, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born, January 8, 1963 in Batesville, Indiana, he was the son of Louis J. and Marjorie A. (Grieshop) Siefert. Greg graduated from Batesville High School. He was the grow finishing production manager at JBS United in Milroy. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, a former 4H leader for 15 years, a former member of the Power of the Past, Knights of St. John and the Pork Producers. He was married to Sharon K. Springmeyer on April 22, 1989 and she survives. He is also survived by his father, Louis; one son, Dillon Siefert; one daughter, Olivia Siefert; one brother, Dennis (Nancy) Siefert, Batesville; three sisters, Sue (Allie) Waechter, Batesville, Patricia (Terry) Valliere, Champagne, MN, Nancy (Jerome) Meyer, Batesville; Mother-in-law, Ruth Springmeyer, Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Siefert, father-in-law, Don Springmeyer, brother-in-law, Gary Springmeyer. Visitation will be from 1-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Building Fund.
