Ruth E. Lecher, 73, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. Born September 10, 1941 in Franklin County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Albert F. and Martha A. (Schebler) Meyer. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the St. Lawrence Ladies Auxiliary. She was married to Charles M. "Charlie" Lecher on May 9, 1964 in Hamburg, Indiana and he survives. She is also survived by 8 children, Dianne (David) Grannan, John Lecher, Carol (David) Lohmueller, Doug Lecher, Mark (Lisa) Lecher, Scott (Elizabeth) Lecher, Matthew (Alison) Lecher, Eric (Siobhan) Lecher; 10 grandchildren, Brooke, Luke, Thomas, Bridget, Drew, Neil, Claire, Eloise, Oliver, and Josephine; 10 brothers and sisters, Margie (Ed) Hunter, Howard "Bud" (Rita) Meyer, Walter "Buck" (Irene) Meyer, Jean (Manny) Bomben, Doris (Joe) Baker, Cathy (Steve) Amrhein, Fran (Rita) Meyer, Henry (Linda) Meyer, Joe (Mary) Meyer, Dave (Steph) Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Greg & Dale Lecher; 2 brothers, Ronnie & Kenneth Meyer; 2 sisters, Mary Magdalene Meyer and Mary Frances Meyer. Visitation will be from 1-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg and from 9-10:00 a.m. Monday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg. A public rosary service will be held on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
