Robert L. Brewsaugh, 76, Greensburg, went to meet his heavenly father on Monday, July 27th, 2015. Born, September 2, 1938, in Decatur County, he was the son of Orville C. and Lucille (Moulton) Brewsaugh. Bob graduated from Sandusky High School in 1956. Throughout his life, Bob owned and operated Brewsaugh Excavating until 2000 when he retired. Bob was a farmer at heart, and it was something he dearly loved. He was lucky enough to have that as his occupation/hobby for nearly his entire life. He won many farming awards throughout his life. He was a member of the Sandusky United Methodist Church. There he taught Sunday school class for thirty five years. He was chairman of the official board, and a member of the Sandusky United Methodist Men. He was a former County Councilman and member of the Greensburg Country Club. He was married to Carolyn Carder on February 22, 1969, and she survives. He is also survived by one son, Scott (Sarah) Brewsaugh, Greensburg, one daughter; Amanda (Richie) Messer, Greensburg, eight grandchildren, Marti, Sammi, Maddie, Tensley, and Baylor Brewsaugh, Trey, Connor and Reid Messer, all of Greensburg, three brothers, Jack (Maureen) Brewsaugh, Jerry Brewsaugh, of Greensburg, Roger Brewsaugh, of Muncie, and sister in law, Darlene Brewsaugh. He is also survived by four sisters, Shirley (Dale) Schwering of Rushville, Janice Johnston, Ruth (Bill) Flack and Sara (Greg) Myers of Greensburg along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Lucille Brewsaugh, and two brothers, Richard Brewsaugh and Don Brewsaugh. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-7 pm on Thursday, July 30th at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31 at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Waddle officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Aerie Cemetery in Letts. Memorial contributions may be made to the Decatur County Community Foundation or Developmental Services Incorporated.
