Thomas Andrew Fox

Thomas Andrew “Tom” Fox was born in Batesville, Indiana on August 4, 1971. God took him home August 1, 2015 at the age of 43 after a lengthy hospitalization. The family rejoices that Tom is finally at peace.   Tom graduated from Connersville High School in 1990 and worked at various jobs during his adult year before he became disabled. Most of his childhood was spent in Rush County, Indiana where Tom was active in Boy Scouts. Highlights of those years include going with his father to Philmont Scout Ranch on a horse cavalcade and to the boundary waters of Minnesota with his dad for a canoe trip. Tom traveled extensively during his lifetime visiting all 50 states with his family and he enjoyed the last two winters with his parents in the Florida sunshine playing euchre and bowling with the “old folks.” He and his dad also enjoyed fishing together (but never caught enough for a fish fry-Mom had to buy lunch at Fish Camp!) Tom particularly enjoyed reading, listening to a wide range of music and watching movies and shows like “Pickers!” and anything to do with cars. Tom’s church family was always important to him. He was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Greensburg and previously a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Rushville. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Holly Ann (Holloman) Fox. Survivors include his son; Christian Michael Holloman Fox, Greensburg parents; Jerry and Darleen (Brown) Fox, Greensburg, sister; Lola (Nathan) Vandrey, California, brother; Lester (Nancy) Pierce and their son Josh, Connersville, sister-in-law; Barcla (Rick) Brown, Greensburg, brother-in-law; Michael Steele, Seymour, uncle; Dick (Judy) Fox, Florida, aunt; Carol (David) Kalp, Ft. Wayne, niece Kathryn Vandrey and nephew Samuel Vandrey, both of California. Tom’s first wife; Jane Holtsclaw Fox and her son Spencer Kodadek of Connersville also survive. A Celebration of Life will start at 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with visitation from 11 am until the time of services. Interment will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to the 1st Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Franklin St., Greensburg, IN 47240.
