W. Robert Zobel

W. Robert Zobel, 85, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his residence in Greensburg. Born, April 25, 1930 in Shelby County, Indiana, he was the son of Roscoe C. and Frances P. (Roell) Zobel. Bob was a farmer his entire life. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by one sister, Betty Zobel, Greensburg; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, R. Frank Zobel, Paul J. Zobel; three sisters, Phyllis Ward, Kathleen Oltman, Mary Lou Payne. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Cemetery in Shelby County. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund.
