Rose Marie Parkison

Rose Marie Parkison, 79, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born January 5, 1936 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry and Florence (Goodpaster) Parkison. She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1954. She had worked for several years at the Carol Cook Dress Factory and then for several years at Wenning Upholstery, both in Greensburg. She was a member of the Greensburg Wesleyan Church, where she was the treasurer for over 50 years. She also had taught Sunday school at the church. She is survived by one brother, Robert B. Parkison, Greensburg; seven nieces and nephews; twelve great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Rigby, Betty Lou Parkison. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Greensburg Wesleyan Church in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the church with Rev. Doug Preston officiating. Interment will be held in the Union Baptist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Greensburg Wesleyan Church.
