Erika H. Hold

Erika H. Hold, 86 died on December 21, 2015 at Columbus Regional Hospital.  She was born in Augsburg, Germany on July 27, 1929 to Lorenz and Maria (Demharter) Henkel.  Erika was a member of the Red Hat Society, Delta Theta Phi, and Beta Sigma Phi.  She was married to James W. “Bill” Hold on June 11, 1949 and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2005.  Erika is survived by one son; Kenneth (Adell) Hold, one brother; Manfred (Christa) Henkel, two granddaughters; Stephanie Hold (Donnie Preston), Karrie (Ronnie) Walker, two great granddaughters; Adelinn and Lainey Preston, one nephew; Ralph (Birgit) Henkel, two nieces; Sabine Henkel, Mary Ann Christoff, two great nephews; Julian and Marius Henkel, two great nieces; Dianna Cooper, Lisa (Jay) Ankney, and one great great nephew; Chris Ankney.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother; Lorenz Henkel.  Visitation will be on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 10-11 am with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 am at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Morton officiating.  Memorials can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
