Jack Merrill Winters

Jack Merrill Winters, 86, passed into the arms of the Lord on December 24, 2015. Born August 5, 1929, in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Everett and Mildred (Gray) Winters. Jack graduated from Madison High School. He served in the National Guard from 1947-1953. He was a jewelry salesman for many years, and held a variety of other sales positions. He retired from American Lifts. He was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was married to Shirley Ann Tevis, his loving wife for over 60 years, and she survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Candice Dianne (Jim) Cazzell, Bloomington; two sons, Brad (Diane) Winters, Columbus, and Tracy (Phyllis) Winters, Greensburg; one sister, Doris Miller, Madison; grandchildren, John (Michelle) Peters, Matt (Amy) Cazzell, Holly (Darby) Cazzell, Jason (Kari) Winters, Heather (Scott) England, Jeremy (Whitney) Winters, Adam Winters, Derek Winters, Dustin (Becca) Winters, Jaxxon Winters, Rebekah Winters, and Rachel Winters; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery.
