John W. Kaisher, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg, IN. Born on September 21, 1926 in DeKalb, Illinois, John was the son of Paul and Margaret “Meta” (Krzic) Kaisher. John served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne during WWII. He worked as a salesman, and he owned and operated several floral companies in Marion, IN, Columbus, IN, and Florence, KY. John was a member of the Temple Congregational Church in Marion, IN and a member of the Florence Baptist Church in Florence, KY. He loved baseball, fishing, golfing, and gardening. John was married to Margaret Brandon in January of 1950 and she survives. John is also survived by his son; Mike (Patsy) Kaisher, Columbus, IN, two daughters; Connie Sue (John) Hite, Rochester, MI, Rebecca Ann (Dave) Ballentine, Cincinnati, OH, one sister; Helen Mathey, Orlando, FL, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 9-10 am at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg, IN followed by funeral services at 10 am. Interment will follow at Estates of Serenity/I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Marion, IN. Memorials can be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
