Virgie M. Ruble Baylis Ogden, 84, passed away on Monday, February 8 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born on March 12, 1931 in Decatur County, she was the daughter of Hulbert “Hub” and Ella (Larrison) Ruble. Virgie grew up in New Point. She had previously worked for Carol Cook Dress Factory and the Lincoln Village Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was married to Harold “Eddie” Ogden on July 8, 1971 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2010. Virgie is survived by her children; Sandy (Dave) Moore, Greensburg, Jim (Patty) Baylis, Salem, IL, Tracy Ogden, Austin, IN, Eric Ogden, St. Cloud, FL, one brother; Donald “Bud” Ruble, California, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin brother; Virgil Ruble, and 3 brothers; Cecil, Floyd, and Howard Ruble, and sister; Fredia Godby. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 – 5 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Vice officiating. Interment will follow at Rossburg Cemetery in New Point. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
