Harold Lee "John" Mcqueen, Sr.

Harold Lee “John” McQueen, Sr., 89, Greensburg passed away on April 27, 2016 at Morning Breeze Nursing Home.  John was born on June 14, 1926 in Nashville, Indiana to William “Doc” and Carmen (Steele) McQueen.  John was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served during WWII.  He worked for A.L. Williams Plumbing and Heating before starting his own company, McQueen’s Heating and Cooling. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion in Greensburg. John loved looking through antiques at flea markets, he had a great interest in baseball, and he loved spending time with family.  He is survived by two sons; Richard (Della) Kramer, Palm Coast FL, Brian (Laurie) McQueen, Indianapolis, two daughters; Debra (McQueen) Stuart, Greensburg, Anita (Greg) Navarra, Greensburg, five siblings; Wanita (Robert) Weddle, Sr., Shelbyville, Rita McQueen, Hollywood, FL, Helen Nelson, Hollywood, FL, Donny (Gail) McQueen, Edinburgh, Mary (Royce) Glick, Newbern, 1 step-brother; Lee Sullivan, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  John was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sons; Patrick, Harold L. Jr., John, and Danny McQueen, three brothers; Tom, Gene, and Frank McQueen, and 1 step-brother; Roy Sullivan.  Visitation will be on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 11 am - 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by a funeral mass at 1 pm with Rev. John Meyer officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.  Memorials can be made to the St. Mary’s Church Building Fund.
