William Robert Armstrong

William Robert Armstrong, 74, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Morning Breeze in Greensburg. Born, October 20, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Howard M. and Hilda (Ohman) Armstrong. William graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University in 1957.  He was a sales representative for Hess & Clark / Con Agra for 36 years.  He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Greensburg where he had served as an Elder and in other leadership roles.  He was married to Shirley Mae Ivio on August 27, 1955 she survives.  He is also survived by one son, Robert William (Debbie) Armstrong, Shelbyville, Ky.; two daughters, Debra (Russell Kowal) Arsmtrong, Goshen, NY, Cheryl Armstrong, Little Rock, Ar.; one sister, Doris Radgowski, Livonia, Mi.; three grandchildren, Noah Berger, Adria Armstong, Leanna Armstrong; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl Armstrong. Visitation will be from 1-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Visitation will also be held from 9-10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Greensburg with Rev. Dennis Wenholz officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
