Virginia M. Bedel

Virginia M. Bedel, 86, Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born, May 25, 1922 in St. Bernard, Ohio, she was the daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth (Boeing) Young.   Virginia was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. She was married to Edmund F. Bedel on August 26, 1944 and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1997. She is survived by five sons, Norbert (Kate) Bedel, Greensburg, Michael Bedel, Greensburg, Jerome (Kathy) Bedel, Oldenburg, James (Rita) Bedel, Greensburg, Thomas (Mary) Bedel, Enochsburg; three daughters, Mary Ann (Robert) Niese, Greensburg, Kathy (Keith) Westrick, Greensburg, LaDonna (Norbert) Hoeing, Greensburg; 31 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Joseph Bedel; six brothers, George, Anthony, Edward, Joseph, Robert and Albert Young; one sister, Marie Bowman. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.   A public rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen with Rev. Robert Hankee officiating. Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Millhousen, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
