Robert Lee “Red” Flory, 80, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg.
Born, June 12, 1928 in Tulip, Indiana, he was the son of Dewey and Mary (Terrell) Flory.
He was a retired foreman for Public Service of Indiana.
He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, the American Legion Post #129 and the Eagles Lodge.
He was a veteran of the Army serving in the Korean War.
He was married to Georgann Bloemer on May 1, 1954 she survives.
He is also survived by one son, Michael D. Flory, Greensburg; one daughter, Raynel (John) Wilson, Fishers; one sister, Bonnie Houck, Jasonville, In.; 4 grandchildren, Kaitie Flory, Meagan Flory, Alyssa Flory, Andrew Kinney.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Franklin Flory, James Flory; one sister, Norma Jean Hoops.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary service will be held on Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Batesville.
The American Legion Post #129 will conduct military graveside services.
