Theresa Ann “Tweet” Rueff, 80, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at her residence.
Born, November 15, 1928 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Catherine (Keane) Logan.
Theresa graduated from Holy Cross Grade school and then in 1946 she graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Newcomers Club, Club 53, and the Linger Awhile Home Ec Club. She had been a Girl Scout leader and a 4H Leader.
Theresa’s parents emigrated from County Galway, Ireland and she was very proud of her Irish heritage. For enjoyment, she listened to classical and Irish music and especially enjoyed listening to books on tape.
She was married to Arthur L. Rueff on September 12, 1953 and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1989.
In 1964, Art & Theresa purchased a farm in Greensburg. She kept the books for the farm.
She is survived by five children, Kathryn Wallpe, Greensburg, Sue (Tom) Gaynor, Arlington Heights, Il., William (Kimber) Rueff, Fishers, Elaine Rueff, Indianapolis, Fritz (Wendy) Rueff, Greensburg; one brother, Lawrence Logan, Indianapolis; one sister, Helena Rikke, Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren, Andrea, Nathan, Kristine, Phillip, Andrew, Natalie, Nicole, Cheyenne, Jared, Grant and Spencer; one great granddaughter, Kelsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Art of 36 years; one sister, Cecilia Logan; one son-in-law, Jerome Wallpe
Visitation will be from 1-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2009 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating.
Interment will be held in the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Decatur County Hospice or to the Greensburg Public Library.
