Paul N. Spillman, 79, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Morning Breeze in Greensburg.Born, July 22, 1929 in Decatur Co., Indiana, he was the son of Lon and Helen (Ruddell) Spillman.He was a self employed carpenter, working with his brother James for over 30 years. He loved bird watching, reading and wood working. He was a member of the First Church of God in Greensburg and the Sandusky Methodist Church. He was married to Mary Etta Moore on April 2, 1959 and she preceded him in death on June 15, 1990. He is survived by two sons, Lonnie (Melanie) Spillman, Greensburg, Harold (Stephanie) Spillman, Greensburg; three daughters, Velma (Ray) Kamman, Greensburg, Phyllis Spillman, Greensburg, Donna Spillman, Greensburg; two stepchildren, John W. Wood, Greensburg, Darlene Haley, North Carolina; one sister, Mary (Frank) Duety, Indianapolis; one cousin, Elbert Spillman, Virginia; 6 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; one brother, James T. Spillman; one sister, Dorothy Spillman; two step sons, Larry D. Moore and Hubert Wood.Private visitation and funeral services will be held for the family at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.Interment will be held at a later date in the Shiloh Cemetery.Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
