Rosemary Nobbe

November 9, 1930 — January 21, 2009

Rosemary Brancamp Nobbe, 78, Westport, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Born, November 9, 1930 in Franklin County, Indiana, she was the daughter of John and Marie (Bedel) Lamping.   Rosemary was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John in Millhousen, the St. Ann’s Society and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. She was married first to Walter W. Brancamp on July 28, 1955 and he preceded her in death on November 18, 1996.  She was then married to Ralph E. Nobbe on October 30, 1999 and he survives. She is also survived by one son,  Thomas (fiancé – Jonita Laudick) Brancamp, Westport; three daughters, June (Ed) Johanningman, Osgood, Janet (Jody) Shera, Westport, Joyce (Neal) Roahrig, Lebanon; step children, Kenneth J. (Tonya) Nobbe, Greensburg, Jerome (Melanie) Nobbe, Greensburg, Theadore Nobbe, Georgia, Denise Ziegler, Greensburg;  five brothers, John Lamping, Jr., Oldenburg, August Lamping, Hamburg, Cletus Lamping, Batesville, Jerry Lamping, Oldenburg, Carl Lamping, Oldenburg; three sisters, Angela Demoret, LaPorte, Bernadette Harpring, Rushville, Irene Meyer, Batesville; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Walter; two sons, Robert & William Brancamp; one stepson, Michael Nobbe; two brothers, Joseph and Al Lamping. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.   A rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen with Rev. Rob Hankee officiating. Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Millhousen, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church or to the Decatur County Hospice.
