Joseph F. Green, 80, Greensburg, passed quietly away to meet his heavenly Father Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born, July 14, 1928 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of David Green, Sr. and Laura (Hughes) Green.
He was retired after working for 46 years on the New York Central-Conrail Railroad.
He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Navy.
He was married to Patricia A. Hall on December 8, 1956 and she preceded him in death on February 16, 2003.
He is survived by two daughters; Kathy (Mike) Klene, Greensburg, Debbie (Mike) Pope, Nashville, In.; one brother, David Green, Jr., Greensburg; one half-brother, Paul Roberts, Greensburg; one sister, Alice Florea, Greensburg; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; half-brother, Robert Roberts; sister, Betty Seibel; great grandson, Keith Jordan Klene.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. William and Tammy Leak officiating.
Internment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
